Scientists are gradually becoming more and more inclined to research and develop and use multi-functional water-based rust inhibitors. Firstly, the water-based rust preventive agent uses water as a dispersion medium, has excellent environmental protection performance, no pollution, no irritating odor, and is non-toxic to the human body.

Secondly, the water-based rust preventive agent is simple and convenient to use, and can be applied by dip coating, spraying, brushing and the like at normal temperature. The water-based rust preventive agent can effectively improve the adhesion of the substrate, and the top coat is more firmly bonded to the substrate without being easily peeled off.

Then the water-based rust inhibitor has good construction performance, and the surface of the substrate is not treated with clean rust and converted into a useful passivation film, which is more favorable for the rust-proof coating operation. The drying time of waterborne rust inhibitors varies with climatic conditions. Generally, when the temperature is about 25 degrees, it takes 3-8 hours and all is dried for 24 hours. The treated workpiece should be placed in a ventilated and dry environment. After it is completely dry, the primer can be applied or stored. During the drying process, the surface of the workpiece should not be touched by hand, nor can the surface of the workpiece be wet.
